Best Lawyers and the UK’s Access Solicitor have agreed a partnership in which Access Solicitor will publish the Best Lawyer mark against their listed lawyers on the Access Solicitor platform following Best Lawyers publishing the fifth edition of their UK list in late 2015.
Access Solicitor founder Warren Smith explained:
“Best Lawyers will still maintain their own website and list, but Access Solicitor will integrate their list into the marketplace of information that Access Solicitor has aggregated. That will give clients more choice by bringing these different elements together.”
Best Lawyers President, Phillip Greer, said:
“Access Solicitor has a unique approach to helping clients choose the best lawyer online. The inclusion of the Best Lawyers mark on Access Solicitor to differentiate truly exceptional lawyers is hugely beneficial to client choice.”
It is understood that the two companies are looking at further cooperation in the future.
Best Lawyers is the oldest peer review-led listing of lawyers worldwide, and launched in the UK in 2006.
Nominations are now open for the fifth edition of the Best Lawyers in the UK, and the nomination period will end on June 7 2015.
After nominations are complete, lawyers are divided by practice areas and evaluated by their peers on the basis of professional expertise.
AccessSolicitor formed in 2013 as an online directory to help consumers and small businesses find UK lawyers online.
In other news at Access Solicitor, the company has become the only UK legal technology business accepted to the world’s largest business accelerator, Mass Challenge.
Based in Boston, Massachusetts, MassChallenge runs an annual growth program for startup companies that awards more than £1.25 million in grants and provides 200 early-stage entrepreneurs with mentoring and training.
