Legal 500 has made a number of changes and promotions to its editorial team:
Current Legal 500 EMEA directory editor Mike Nash has been promoted to chief editor of The Legal 500 series.
Mike (pictured) said:
“As chief editor of The Legal 500 series, I have taken over day-to-day running of the core range of Legal 500 books, with responsibility for moving those titles forward – such as adding new countries or practice areas – in conjunction with the relevant editor; ensuring publishing deadlines are met and editorial standards maintained; and handling recruitment, training and development of the research team.”
Mike also retains the editorship of The Legal 500 EMEA.
In another move, Hayley Eustace, who has managed the UK Bar section, takes over editorship of the Asia Pacific directory following the departure of previous editor Alexander Boyes, who is moving on after a number of years to join a law firm.
Hayley remains UK Bar editor, and her combined role will enable her to oversee the inaugural Asia Pacific Bar rankings.
There’s also a new face at the head of the Legal 500 Germany directory.
Anna Baubock takes over as the editor of the “Deutschland” guide, supported by former Deutschland editor Andrea Leber who will input into the guide.
Andrea, who now lives in Australia, will also act as Asia Pacific deputy editor.
Among a further round of promotions within the editorial team, Daniela Tiedt, Jonathan Armstrong and Ella Marshall have been appointed as deputy editors across the Legal 500.
At the senior level of the Legal 500, two further key figures are managing director David Goulthorpe, and publishing director David Burgess.
Mike Nash said:
“We would like to thank Alex Boyes and Lauren Hughes for their contributions to The Legal 500 during their time with the company, and wish them well as they continue their careers elsewhere within the legal industry.”
Legal 500 will replace Lauren with a dedicated editor and is considering internal and external applicants.
